Training

Good weather for ducks...

Training

Due to the cancellation of the Northampton Old Scouts tournament and some really poor weather the Under 7s adapted their original plans and opted for a training session on the Tresham Astroturf.

The last training session of the season brought with it every conceivable type of bad weather. Over half the squad turned up to train in horrific conditions, considering the weather and the end of season timing the high turn out represented the team spirit the players have shown throughout the whole year.

With some howling wind, rain and cold weather, the session felt more like a scene from GI Jane than Kettering Under 7s training. Coaches and parents got involved with training, if only to keep warm! Some ABC work followed a much needed warm-up.

After the ABC drills some inter-team games were played with a mix of players, coaches and parents. The players enjoyed what Tudor and the weather could throw at them, and at the session end the players were just short of receiving their Royal Marine green berets but left as certified amphibious rugby players.
